The Many Faces of Ernie is a 1979 Little Golden Bookbased on an Ernie and Bert sketch from Sesame Street.

Ernie gets a disguise kit in the mail and tries to fool Bert, but Bert can see through all Ernie's disguises.

A main difference between the book and the skit is that Ernie has more disguises in the book, and the monster who trashes the house is Frazzle, rather than the Big Bad Wolf in the skit.

Differences between the sketch and the book. Edit

  • Ernie has other disguises in the book, which is a clown and an old man.
  • Frazzle takes the wolf's place in the book. He ends up stealing Bert's books.
